The Anglo-Venezuelan Society is a non-political, not-for-profit organisation founded in 1976 with the aim of promoting economic and cultural links between the UK and Venezuela. The Society has achieved this goal by becoming the UK’s specialist forum of informed discussion on Venezuelan issues. It organises a variety of events of a political, economic, social and cultural nature. In order to extend its reach, the Society has developed partnerships with UK Trade & Investment’s Oil & Gas Team for the Americas and the Caracas-based British-Venezuelan Chamber of Commerce.

AVS Christmas Party

The Anglo Venezuelan Society’s Christmas Party was held on December 4th 2008 at Canning House, London. The celebration lasted all night and was well attended by over 130 of the Society’s members and friends. The festivities included traditional Venezuelan foods, rum Santa Teresa, wine and live music with the famous Palenke band.
