History
Great Britain and Venezuela have maintained friendly state-to-state relations since Venezuela's independence almost two centuries ago. It was not until 1976, however, that The Anglo-Venezuelan Society was founded by private individuals and companies from both countries then established in London.
The Society is a non-governmental, not-for-profit, bi-lateral organisation. The purpose of the Society was then, and remains today, the deepening of understanding and friendship between the peoples of Britain and Venezuela.
